Adrienne "AJ" Evans
Minister Adrienne Allen-Evans is the youngest child born to Mr. Richard D. Allen Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth H. Allen on February 12, 1974. Adrienne is the sister of Richard Allen Jr. and Vincent Allen. She is the wife of the late Reverend Thaddeus Evans Sr. Adrienne is the mother of three beautiful children. Brittney, Bria, and Brendan.
At an early age Adrienne showed interest in music and began playing the piano by ear at the age of four. Adrienne was educated in the Jefferson County and the Birmingham School Systems. Adrienne received formal Music training from Patricia Shakespeare Williams, Dr. Anthony Patton, and Dr. Phillip Todd Westgate formerly of Stillman College. Adrienne has served as accompanist for several high school choirs and colleges that include Wenonah High School Concert Choir, Ensley Magnet High Concert and Gospel Choir, Stillman College Choir, Miles, College Choir, Alabama A&M Choir, and Bessemer City High Concert Choir.
Adrienne has been employed at AT&T, formerly Bellsouth for over 18 years. Adrienne is also currently employed at the Sardis Baptist church where she serves as Church Organist and Youth and Young Adult Minister of Music. Adrienne has been a member of the Birmingham Community Mass Choir for over 10 years where she serves as the Assistant Minister of Music and Member of the Board of Directors under the leadership of Dr. Eloise Ford Gaffney Chapter Rep, and Dr. Cristal M. Whitfield Assistant Chapter Rep., and Dr. Prince E. Yelder, Minister of Music. Adrienne is an active member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America and the Women’s Auxiliary where Dr. Eloise Ford Gaffney is the Chairlady. Adrienne has several songs that have been accepted and performed by the Women of Worship of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.
Adrienne has had the privilege of writing songs that were featured on recordings of the Morningstar Christian Church, The Alabama People’s Choice Choir, Birmingham Community Mass Choir, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and the Abundant Life Music Ministry. Adrienne has also accompanied major artist such as Vicky Winans, Daryl Coley, John P. Kee, Darius Brooks, Kirk Franklin, Leann Fain, Norman Hutchins, Vashawn Mitchell, Mosey Burks, David Curry, James Bignon, Wanda Nero Butler, Lamar Campbell, and many more.
