ABOUT US

Abundant Life Music Ministry was founded in 1991 by Mark & Vanessa Pettway in Birmingham, AL.  Their sincere heart's desire was to form a body of worshippers who were sold out to God's purpose for their lives and would carry the good news of God's abundant life through song.   They invited Gregory Brown to assist them with this vision as their Musical Director. Greg demanded a level of perfection that ignited what became known as the "Abundant Life Sound".  

 

Worshippers from local churches, colleges and high schools came to join and many were just entering into relationship with Jesus Christ.  But in the course of time, after nearly a 20 year break, God has matured us into true ministers of God's Word through song.  We are comprised of Pastors, Evangelist, Ministers of Music, Musicians and Psalmists who know their God and are intimately acquainted with His gifts and desires.

In July 1995 we recorded our debut album entitled "Highest Praise" which included popular songs such as "Highest Praise", "I Know I've Been Change", and If You Abide In Me.   The recording was a huge success and it opened doors for performances at First Night Atlanta, The Gospel Music Workshop of America, multiple concert appearances opening for artists such as Orlando Draper, Ricky Dillard, John P. Kee to name a few.

 

In 2013, we reunited to join Gregory Brown in his solo recording project entitled "Gregory Brown 29:11" with popular hit songs "I Will Praise", God Said He'd Deliver Us" and "There's Been A Change".

In 2016, Vanessa was led by God to called the ministry back together to complete our assignment of carrying the good news of God's Abundant Life through song. 

This time God said, "IT'S GOING TO BE BIG!"
